Driftwood Duet and Strings began in 2010 as a collaboration beetween violinist Rachel Massey and cellist Daniel Hawkins.
Since then, we've added the talents of some of the Boston area's most skilled string players to perform in concert settings like
Ran Blake's Chabrol Noir in Jordan Hall, as well as for weddings, contradances, and other events throughout New England.
Driftwood's distinctive sound draws from classical music, the string-based folk traditions of Europe and the Americas,
and original commissions and arrangements of everything from Katy Perry to Nine Inch Nails.
